Born in 1875, the places and people of Dutch artist Evert Rabbers's home, the borough of Woolde in the town of Hengelo, provided the ideal subject matter for his bucolic artworks. From gestural pencil portraits to serene landscape oil paintings, John was lucky to come across a vast cache of the late artist's work.
