Seaside Creations

Down by the sea

A 19th Century framed shadow box ship diorama

NEW WAVE

A new wave of wares inspired by the sea has hit our shore. Deep sea treasures from the 19th century include a pair of shell encrusted cement baskets and a framed shadow box of a ship diorama and its sailors. Shell and mineral marvels sculpted by Christoper D. Bassett and Nancy Lee Carter’s papier-mâché coral creations capture the magic of life below the sea. And Henry Bradbury’s beautifully illustrated 4-volume study of British Seaweeds will educate the most landlubber-y among us. See the collection here.
