These Chinese export style dessert plates by Samson of Paris are among John Derian's trove of handpicked vintage & antique goods. Created in the 19th-century, this set of 7 plates feature hand-painted floral sprays, gilded accents, and a central armorial crest topped with a crown and heraldic animals. Known for their expert reproductions, the Samson firm often produced works inspired by 18th-century Chinese export wares. This plate bears an iron red pseudo mark on the back, in keeping with the workshop's approach.
